He didn't actually throw it on the ground, but it would have been fitting.

Upcycled Lamp
Someone had placed this lamp by the curb near the dumpster at our apartment complex. The yellow and reddish covers were pretty faded (and not my style), but I thought I'd at least see if the connections all worked. I was disappointed to see it had little size B light bulbs. I didn't really care until I shut it off and tried pulling one out. They were EXTREMELY hot after less than a minute. So I went out into the world and found some LED light bulbs. They run completely cold and only cost 11 cents PER YEAR to operate! AMAZING! So... 8 balloons, some tissue paper and watered down glue later and I have a new lamp! :D

Lazy Painting
I wanted to do something with this stock image from mizzd-stock on deviant art. Tablets and computers have spoiled me.. so this is basically a paint over and I modified the face/colors/etc. Not really too artistic but fun and not too time consuming.

Bad Luck
So I bought a cheap mirror yesterday and proceeded to break it immediately with a staple gun. I wanted to staple a ribbon to the back so I could hang it on the wall. I thought I was far enough over on the frame.. perhaps the force of the gun created the cracks. Either way... $5 mirror = broken. So, I took some plain 8.5 x 11 paper and traced the cracks onto it then designed something to cover it up. I transferred that to poster board, cut it out and taped it down to the mirror. Poof! Looks better than a plain mirror now anyway.

Polaroid Camera Icon
I'm going to attempt to do a tutorial every day from the Tuts+ membership I had.
For starters, here is a Polaroid camera made from scratch in Photoshop. I started following the tutorial, but I didn't like the way the lens looked and modified the flash and a few other things as well. You can check out the original tutorial here: How To Draw a Vintage Polaroid Camera Icon Thanks for looking. =)
