Upcycled Lamp

Someone had placed this lamp by the curb near the dumpster at our apartment complex.  The yellow and reddish covers were pretty faded (and not my style), but I thought I'd at least see if the connections all worked.  I was disappointed to see it had little size B light bulbs.  I didn't really care until I shut it off and tried pulling one out.  They were EXTREMELY hot after less than a minute.  So I went out into the world and found some LED light bulbs.  They run completely cold and only cost 11 cents PER YEAR to operate!  AMAZING!

So...  8 balloons, some tissue paper and watered down glue later and I have a new lamp! :D
